15 May 2006 Pluckley Annual Parish Meeting

The certificate reads:
"In pursuance of the statutory powers enabling them,
Pluckley Parish Council
hereby admits
Miss Angela Bates
to be an
Honorary Citizen of the
Parish Community of Pluckley
as the highest mark of esteem and honour that the Parish Council can bestow in
recognition of the eminent services rendered by her to the Parish Community.
By conferring this honour upon Miss Bates
the Parish Council desires to acknowledge
the indebtedness of the community to her for the untiring and notable manner
she has always been there to help things run smoothly and cheerfully."
Miss Bates received the greatest number of votes sent in s a result of a notice in the Annual Parish Council Report
and the council were delighted that she had been selected.
